Overlay - Topcoat

Topcoat and clear overlay is an added layer of protection
designed to protect cards from fading, and increases card print durability.

Although there are different terminologies used by different OEM’s, at Caxton we have standardized the following:

1. TOPCOAT Transparent Thermal transfer ribbon (4.5, or 5.6 micron PET base films)

2. OVERLAY Transparent Hot stamp foil, applied by heated silicone roller or flat stamp (12,15,16,19 micron PET base films)
